"Cubicle City"~ The Bracelets
This was shot April 17, 2009 @ nanahari in Japan. The Bracelets is Ian Purvis’s project. Yuki Hashimoto (Mamimi Fouksong) and I joined him for a set at the cool underground venue “Nanahari.” I’m thinking I like the short hair.. maybe I should cut it again!

open mic night
I had a dream last night that I was hosting an open mic at an Irish pub. There were lots of people there, waiting for me to set up the darn PA. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t seem to figure out what I was doing. Someone else finally hooked up the PA and it was ready to go but, alas, I couldn’t pull myself together to remember any of my songs. The dead silence of the bar and the look of pity and exasperation were too much for me. I woke up without playing a single note.
The night before, I dreamed I received my paycheck from my day job. With anticipation, I ripped open the envelope only to find the fruits of my labor amounted to only 400 yen (that’s a whopping $4 USD) It seems my job had taken out $880 to pay for a gym membership (?!@$#) Thankfully, I woke up.
Ah the anxiety! Here’s to reality!
Tomorrow night (Tuesday, June 22) I will really host the open mic @ Maggie Moore’s pub in Lincoln Park, NJ. I’m sure I’ll be able to manage the PA, play some songs, drink some beer, and hopefully come out with some witty stage banter. I’d love some company though!
Open mic starts at 9pm until the bar tender tells us to leave. Come in and sign up to play! kazoos are welcome too :)
